Annual Day Celebration - December - 2022
Maruthi Vidyalaya, State Wing celebrated its 44th Annual Day in the Nalanda campus, CBSE wing on Friday 16.12.2022 in a befitting manner.
The celebrations had three sessions.
The first session " Rang Rangeela " - Splashes of Colours by the Kindergarten began at 10.00 a.m and ended at 11.00 a.m.
The second session " Varna Ranjini " - Joy of Colours began at 12.45 p.m and ended at 2.00 p.m.
Our former Headmistress of Kindergarten Smt.Sarojini Devi lighted the lamp and inaugurated the programme.
*The third session Varna Vikasana - Blooming with Colours began at 2.45 p.m. and ended at 5:00 p.m.
Our distinguished President Shree Bhattu Ganesh and Our beloved Secretary Smt. Saroja Ganesh and Our former Headmistress Smt Sarojini devi graced the occasion along with other dignitaries.
Our President ,Our secretary and Our former Headmistress Kindergarten honoured the meritorious students in the S.S.L.C BOARD EXAMINATIONS for the three consecutive year from 2019 to 2022 with medals and certificates. (Due to covid19 pandemic, 2 years SSLC TOPPERS were not awarded )
Our staff Mrs.Bharathi.N, Mrs.Pallavi.B and Mrs.Asha.H.L welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering on all the three sessions respectively.
On the auspicious day, the Nalanda campus and the auditorium were completely decorated with flowers and lights.
The Cultural Event began with an invocation, invoking the blessings of the Goddess of knowledge.
The morning progressed witnessing the mesmerizing dances, performances, costumes, and stage decorations bewitching each one.
A spectacular dance paying homage to Puneeth Rajkumar left the audience with emotions and captivated the hearts of everyone.
Overall the performances of all the students from Nursery to Std-X made the onlookers ecstatic.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs.Asha.H.L.
Sports Day Celebration
November - 2022
Our school celebrated sports day on the 8th and 19th of November, 2022.
It is one of the most loved events of the Year.
Prior to the sports day celebration the school organised a number of competitions in both track and field events. The students performed very well and won multiple prizes.
Our secretary Smt.Saroja Ganesh graced the occasion and declared the sports meet open by lighting the ceremonial Olympic Torch.
Variety of Sports races, March Past etc were presented by the students.
The colourful performance of the little ones with the props, Lizzims, Hoops, Dumbles,
Disc, Fan, etc left everyone spellbound.
At the end of the sports, the prize distribution ceremony was also held to encourage the students in different categories of sports.
The winners received their medals and certificates and the champions received shield from Our Secretary.
The celebration concluded with the National Anthem.
Kannada Rajyothsava Celebration
November - 2022
Our school celebrated Kannada Rajyothsava with great enthusiasm on November 1st 2022.
This day is celebrated to commemorate the formation of Karnataka state . On this occasion, our Headmistress Mrs.Leela kumari.P hoisted the flag and highlighted the significance of the day .
The amazing facts about Karnataka added to the knowledge of the audience.
The school campus bore a festive look with brilliant yellow and red coloured decorations.
The students were able to spread the fragrance of Kannada language with their spectacular dance performances which left the audience spell bound.
Prior to the celebration several activities and competitions such as painting , fancy dress, antakshari, garland and badge making etc were conducted from classes 1 to 8 - Debate and Quiz competitions were organised for classes 9 and 10 by PE instructors Subramanyam.N.C and Miss.Revathy.S
The Debate was hosted by Miss.Usha and judged by Mrs.Leela Kumari.P and Mrs. Bharathi.N
Quiz competition was hosted by Miss.Usha judged by Mrs.Sita Lakshmi.R and Mrs.Saraswathy.M. Students actively participated and won the prizes.
The event generated a sense of pride in the minds of the students, teachers and the audience for being part of a culture that is so vibrant.
The celebration ended with the National Anthem.
Hindi Diwas Celebration
September 2022
Our school has celebrated Hindi Diwas on September 14th 2022 to Mark the adaptation of Hindi as an official language by the constituent assembly .
Prior to the celebration several literary activities such as Action song, Elocution, pick and speak, Slogan writing, Dohe recitation and Quiz competitions were conducted for the students from classes 3 to 10.
Quiz was organised by Physical Instructors Subramanyam.N.C and Miss.Revathy.S
Hosted by Mrs.Sushma & Judged by Mrs.Asha.H.L and Mrs.Hema Yogalingam.
Students actively participated and Ganga house was declared as Winner and Nethravathy house was declared as Runner.
On the day of the celebration, a variety of cultural programmes were held.
The campus bore a festive look with decorations and several charts bearing slogans, poems quotations were displayed.
It was a joyous moment for both the students as well as the teachers.
Teacher's Day Celebration
September 2022
Teachers day was celebrated in our school premises on 5th September 2022.
The whole function was planned by the students of Std-X.
Vidya Shree of Std-X delivered the inaugural speech and welcomed the teachers and students.
Chaya Shree of Std-X spoke about Dr.Radhakrishnan sharing certain anecdotes and interesting facts of his life. She also highlighted the importance of teachers and how teachers are the builders of Nation.
This was followed by cultural activity. Students of Std-IX and X dedicated their power packed performances to the teachers, through their dance and a small skit was also enacted by the students replicating their favourite teachers.
Students conducted some fun filled games for teachers and the winning teachers were given prizes.
Later a refreshment was arranged and a small gift was given to all the teachers as a token of love and gratitude.
It was a joyous moment for both the teachers as well as the students.
Teachers thanked all the students and expressed that the day was made very special by the students.
August - 2022
Our School celebrated National Sports day on 29th August 2022. This day is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand.
The day also promotes the significance of sports in our daily life and how it helps us to grow better both physically and mentally.
Sports also build children's self esteem, confidence ,social skills and motivate them to excel in life. In recognition of the importance of sports on one's life Quiz competition was held in the school premises.
Students from classes 8, 9 and 10 participated house-wise. It was organised by Physical instructors Mr. Subramayam.N.C and Miss Revathy.S, Hosted by Mrs.A.Padmavathy Judged by Mrs.M.Padmavathy and Mrs.Pavan Vasaghi.
Students actively participated and Nethravathy house was declared as runner and Ganga house was declared as winner.
All the staff congratulated all the winners and appreciated the others for their participation.
Our school celebrated 75th Independence Day Azadhi ka Amruth Mahotsav on 15th August, 2022 with pomp and great joy. The campus was fully decorated with saffron, white and green colour.
Prior to Independence Day various competitions were held class-wise and winners were selected.
The celebration began at 8.30 a.m. One of the senior most teachers and a former student Mrs.Bharathi.N was the chief guest. Two more former students Mr.Chandran.S and Mr.Vijaya Kumar were invited as special guest of honour.
All the 3 former students of Maruthi Vidyalaya hoisted the tricolour flag. Everyone singing the National Anthem and saluting the National Flag created a different vibration on the premises.
Mr.Chandran and Mr.Vijaya Kumar presented themselves in Army uniform. Both of them were successful in their mission during their service in the Army. Mr.Chandran was posted to Jammu and Kashmir in 2016 as an engineer for the construction of a tunnel in Indian Army launch Surgical strike against Terrorist camp in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
Mr.Vijaya Kumar was awarded 3 medals for being a part of 3 successful wars namely :-
Operation Vijay, Operation Parakram and Kargil war.
After the Flag hoisting, Mrs.Bharathi.N and Mr.Chandran gave a brief speech sharing their experiences in school as students and how we got freedom which reminded us of the struggle, blood and sacrifice that our freedom fighters did to give us this Independent life. This was followed by Prize distribution programme. On that pleasurable a sense of pride and happiness could be seen on the faces of every students and teachers to witness all the 3 former students sitting on the stage along with the teachers.
Most of the students were excited, inspired and motivated to see their seniors in the Army uniform. Their presence added splendor to the 75th Independence Day celebration.
To educate about the nutritious value of vegetables among children, we organized Vegetables day for kindergarten, State board on 29/07/2022.
Children actively participated in various activities such as dance, speech and vegetable printing.
The students were asked to bring cooked or raw vegetables. Children brought the same and enjoyed eating them.
" What unites everyone more than food ? "
On 8/7/2022, We organised Sandwich 🥪 day for Kindergarten section.
The Preschoolers awakened the chefs within them by participating in a cooking activity without fire.
The students were informed in prior to carry two slices of cucumber, tomato, carrot and bread each.
Everyone came together in the paper chef caps and blue aprons provided by the school to put together a healthy sandwich.
The students also carried with them a paper plate each to eat their Sandwich.
This activity not only had a lot of fun but also ensured to sparkle interest in healthy eating habits.
Investiture Ceremony for the AY : 2022-23 was held in the school premises on 12th July 2022 with great enthusiasm.
The chief guest of the day Yogashree Vardaman Kalasur presided over the function and hoisted the flag .
The event began with a candle march by the newly designated leaders along with the house leaders.
Students received their prestigious badges and sashes from the chief guest, Headmistress and other dignitaries .
Headmistress Smt.Leela Kumari.P administered the oath and students pledged to serve the school and fulfill their responsibilities and keep up the tradition of the school to the best of their abilities.
The event turned out to be very successful and concluded with the National Anthem.
Vanamahotsava week was observed in our school in the first week of July.
Students from Classes - III to V performed a dance skit in which they were beautifully dressed in green, bright costume resembling different plants and trees.
Through their dance they gracefully showed how mankind is destroying and recklessly cutting the trees.
Students from Class - VI to X participated enthusiastically with short influencing speech, poster making signifying the importance of trees, help making this world a better place with green forests.
" Save trees and live a better and healthy life.
