THINKING DAY CELEBRATION
February 2024
"Thinking Day was observed in the school premises on 22.02.2024 in memory of Baden Powell and Lady Baden Powell.
On that day, Yogashree Vardhaman Kalasur and Mrs. Agatha Mary graced the occasion.
The Cubs, Bulbuls, Scouts, and Guides students gathered.
All the students and teachers prayed, and a few students read verses from their religious holy books such as the Bhagavad Gita, Bible, Quran, etc.
Following this, students spoke about the origin and growth of the scouting and guiding movement.
The students participated in prayer, meditation, and sang a few songs of the Scouts and Guides movement."
The guests motivated the students to be prepared to help others and to know their responsibilities.
The celebration concluded when the students took pledge that they will abide the rules and regulations of the scouts and guides movement.
GRADUATION DAY CELEBRATION
February - 2024
Graduation day was held on the warm February 21st, 2024 was truly a momentous occasion.
Students of Std X gathered for their long-awaited graduation day.
Boys dressed in the smart attire and girls in graceful traditional sarees provided by the school, looked grand and elegance.
Yogashree Vardaman Kalasur graced the vacation along with the other dignitaries.
The celebration began with an uplifting invocation song by students of Std IX. Mrs.Asha welcomed the gathering and Mrs Bharathi highlighted the importance of the day.
Std X leaders and the newly elected leaders of Std IX marched towards the stage.
The Headmistress Mrs A.Padmavathy lit the mother lamp and passed on the flame to light the lamp of the class teachers Mrs.Asha.H.L and Mrs.Vasaghi, this in turn was passed on to the leaders of the outgoing students and they passed it on to the Std - IX students symbolically shouldering their responsibilities to their juniors.
Parents, their faces beaming with pride, joined into witness this significant milestone of their children's achievement in the academic journey.
On stage, a few students expressed their fond memories , laughter-filled classrooms, challenging exams, and the valuable lessons learned.
They expressed gratitude to our Founder Secretary, teachers, and parents for their unwavering support and encouragement in shaping them as a human.
Amidst applause and cheers, the graduates, parents and the staff of MV enjoyed the refreshments.
As the clock struck 5.00 p.m., the festivities concluded with a joyous photo session, capturing the essence of that unforgettable day for years to come.
With hearts full of gratitude and anticipation, the Std X students bid farewell to their alma mater, carrying with them the torch of knowledge, the cherished memories, the lessons that they learnt to embrace the challenges of life with ethics , and that sincere hard work will fetch victorious in every field in their future endeavours.
NATYANADOPASANA - ANNUAL FINEARTS
February - 2024
On the lively morning of February 20th, 2024, our school was filled with excitement as students from classes 1 to 10 prepared to show off their artistic talents at the Annual Fine Arts Celebration NATYANADOPASANA.
The celebration was held in the August presence of our Founder secretary Smt.Saroja Ganesh along with other coordinators.
There were various talents on display, including vocal, violin, tabla, and Bharatanatyam. The event began with an invocation song by Smt. Sushma Megharaj Putila.
Our founder lit the lamp signifying the start of the celebration and the recognition of talent.
The fine arts teachers were honored for their hard work in nurturing the students' talents.
Our secretary thanked them by presenting shawls, fruit bowls, and mementos.
The teachers were touched by this gesture and expressed their gratitude.
Parents were encouraged to attend and support their children's performances. They were also advised to get musical instruments for practise at home.
The programme came out very well and it was concluded with national anthem by the violin students.
Annual Day Celebration
December 2023
Maruthi Vidyalaya joyously celebrated its 45th Annual Day at the Nalanda Campus, CBSE wing on December 22nd, 2023, showcasing talent and festivity in three sessions :
"Maruthi Minchugalu - Doom Damaka" started the day with students from Kindergarten to Std-II displaying their talents.
The celebration began with an invocation seeking blessings from Lord Ganesha. Smt.Sarojini Devi, the esteemed former Headmistress graced the ceremony by lighting the lamp.
"Nruthya Sangama" featured captivating dance performances by students of Std-III to VI showcasing their grace and skill with beautiful costumes.
Following this, the "Nruthya Sangama" session by students of Std-VII to X enchanted the audience with mesmerizing dance performances adorned with captivating costumes.
The day was graced by the special guest Mr. Rajender, a generous benefactor who contributed Rs.1,00,000 to aid economically challenged students in memory of his wife.
Our Secretary, Smt.Saroja Ganesh and our former Headmistress Smt. Sarojini Devi honored the meritorious students in the S.S.L.C Board Examination.
Throughout the day, the Nalanda campus and Auditorium were decorated beautifully with flowers and lights creating an ambiance of elegance and festivity.
Mrs.G.Revathy, Mrs.N.Chithra and Mrs.Sushma Megharaja Putila extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, parents, elders and everyone gathered there setting the tone for the day's celebrations.
The presentation of the School Annual Report for the AY 2022-23 by the Headmistress Mrs.G.Revathy and Mrs. A.Padmavathy highlighted the academic and extracurricular achievements of the school.
Students from Nursery to Std-X captivated the audience with exceptional performances, leaving an indelible impression.
The day concluded with heartfelt gratitude expressed by Mrs.Asha.H.L on behalf of the entire school community, acknowledging their support, dedication, and enthusiasm that made the Annual Day celebration a resounding success.
Children's Day Celebration
November - 2023
On the delightful occasion of Children's Day, our school came alive with vibrant colors, joyous laughter, and engaging activities to celebrate the spirit of childhood.
Before the celebration, class wise competitions were held and the winners were awarded with certificates.
The day commenced with a special assembly where students, adorned in colorful attire.
Students from Nursery to Std-X were asked to assemble batch wise, teachers enthusiastically entertained the students through their captivating performances, skits, and heart warming songs.
The highlight of the day was a funfair filled with games, delicious treats, and bountiful laughter. Students of Std-X enthusiastically participated in the games.
Miss Pooja delivered a heartfelt speech encouraging each child to embrace their uniqueness, spread kindness, and continue pursuing their aspirations with passion.
The Children's Day celebration at our school was evidence of the joyous spirit leaving indelible memories carved in our hearts.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks from Mrs.Jayapradha.
Kannada Rajyotsava Celebration
November - 2023
Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Maruthi Vidyalaya, State Wing.
The students of classes 9 and 10 hosted a meaningful program in honor of the occasion on 1st November 2023 on the school premises.
Mrs. Chithra, one of the senior most teachers was the special guest of the day. She hoisted the flag and everyone sang the Kannada anthem "Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate".
Mrs. Chithra in her speech highlighted the amazing facts about Karnataka which added to the knowledge of the audience.
Before the celebration, various competitions were held class-wise. The winners were awarded with certificates.
The student showcased their talents and exhibited their love for their beloved State Karnataka.
Students were able to spread the fragrance of the Kannada language with their spectacular dance performance and teachers sang melodious songs which generated a sense of pride in the minds of everyone for being part of a culture that is so vibrant.
The celebration was a valuable learning experience for everyone.
Grandparents' Day - Kindergarten
August - 2023
Grandparents Day at Maruthi Vidyalaya was celebrated on August 4th, 2023. The celebration was a heartwarming occasion filled with joy and bonding.
As our cherished grandparents arrived, they were greeted with smiles, quite literally, as smiley faces were pinned on them. The day was designed to ensure both generations shared precious moments.
Children eagerly engaged in activities aimed at bringing smiles to their grandparents' faces, fostering a strong sense of connection. Various games added an element of fun, with crowns and sashes awarded to the lucky winners, making the day even more special.
One of the highlights of the event was a heartfelt speech delivered by the grandparents themselves, sharing their wisdom and experiences with the younger generation.
This intergenerational exchange of stories and knowledge was truly inspirational.
As the day concluded, we bid farewell to our grandparents with refreshment kits, ensuring they left with not only cherished memories but also with a big smile on their faces.
Grandparents Day at Maruthi Vidyalaya was a testament to the power of family bonds and the importance of celebrating the wisdom and love our grandparents bring to our lives.
Field Trip - Kindergarten
August - 2023
Maruthi Vidyalaya's kindergarten students embarked on an exciting field trip to Richards Park on August 4th, 2023.
The day was filled with fun and learning as the young explorers gathered for this memorable adventure.
Before setting off, the children were given a brief introduction to the history of Richards Park. They learned that the park was named after a young man named Richard, who tragically lost his life in a biking accident.
Remarkably, Richard's mother now lovingly oversees the park in his memory.
Upon arrival at the park in Yerrapanahalli, the children's faces lit up with enthusiasm. Throughout the day, they were kept engaged in a variety of activities and fun filled events.
They enjoyed watching a delightful cartoon movie that brought smiles and laughter to their faces. The kids also had a blast playing numerous games, forming new friendships, and strengthening bonds with their classmates.
As the day drew to a close, the children were given a sweet treat to conclude their exciting adventure - a lollipop each, as a token of the day's memories.
With their hearts full of joy and new experiences to cherish, the kindergarten students returned home, undoubtedly with excitement to share their wonderful day at Richards Park with their family members.
July - 2023
Van Mahotsava week was held from 1st to 7th July 2023 on the school campus.
Every student from std 1 to 10 actively participated in various activities showcasing their talents in dance, drama, music elocution poetry, slogan writing, and essay writing competitions.
The performances were not only entertaining but also conveyed powerful messages about environmental conservation such as waste management, recycling and reducing carbon footprint,urging students to become responsible global citizens.
The Event was a resounding success creating a sense of responsibility and taking immediate action to protect our planet.

Investiture ceremony is an important event in a school calender. It was held in our school premises on June 24th 2023. It commenced with an invocation song by the students of std-10. Yogashri.Vardhaman Kalasuru was the chief guest of the day. Mrs.M.Padmavathy welcomed the gathering. The chief guest and other dignitaries honoured the elected leaders with Shashes and Badges.
The members who were given the responsibilities were:
School Head Boy - Preetham .C , Head Girl - Bhavana.B , Junior Head Boy - Karthigesha.K.S , Junior Head Girl-Vandhana.K , Sports captain Boys - Siddharth.S , Sports captain Girls-Nehaa.V , Junior Sports Captain Boys - Harpith.J , Junior Sports Captain Girls - Prakruthi.B , Band Captain Boys - Harshith.J , Band Captain Girls - Thanushree.M.C , Scouts Leader-Ganesh.B Guides Leader-Titiksha.M , Yoga Leader-Boys - Thanush Balaji.S , Yoga Leader - Girls - Sharanya. P , along with these leaders each house boy's and girl's leaders were honoured.
This ceremony was followed by oath-taking. Headmistress Mrs.A Padmavathy administered the oath. The chief guest Yogashri Vardhamaan Kalasur, motivated the leaders stressed on their duties and responsibilities in upholding the school's name and fame. All the dignitaries of the day congratulated the students. The elected leaders assured that they would do their duties sincerely and work hard and preserve the tradition and reputation of the School.
The children were also instructed to carry some vegetables and bread slices to put together a yummy snack along with a paper plate.
The children enjoyed this activity and it invoked a sense of independence amongst them.
One of the main activities of the day was a collective performance of yoga asanas. The session began with warm-up exercises, stretching and a series of asanas.
Students from classes Std-I to X participated in the session which followed techniques of meditation with scientific approach. The session concluded with synchronized chanting of slokas.
World Environment Day
June 2023
Environment Day was celebrated in our school on 5th June 2023 to raise awareness among the students and encourage their action for the protection and preservation of our environment.
The celebration began with a special morning assembly dedicated to Environment Day.
The assembly started with a brief speech by the Head boy emphasizing the importance of taking care of our environment. This was followed by the presentation of saplings.
Students from all the classes presented the saplings to the school and learnt about the importance of trees for the environment and nurturing them throughout the year. Later they engaged in eco-friendly competitions such as paper bag making, poster making, best out of waste materials, etc. The best ones were selected and awarded with prizes.
On the same day, Banaswadi Traffic Police organized a Traffic Awareness Training Programme at Traffic Police Park, M.G.Road, Bangalore.
20 students from Std-IX were selected and taken for training. These students were accompanied by two Traffic Constables and a Physical Education teacher Miss Revathy.S.
This event not only educated the students about the traffic rules and regulations but also instilled a sense of responsibility to educate others.
At the end of the day, all the students undertook an environmental pledge to adopt eco-friendly practices daily to safeguard the planet Earth for future generations.
